1. Who We Are
Rukn is a café and co-working space located at Shaheed Park, Kuwait City, operated by Designed Value Innovations Project Management CO. WLL. This policy covers the Rukn mobile application (“App”).

2. Information We Collect
- Phone number — used to verify your identity via OTP when you sign in or create an account.
- Name & email — optional, provided by you in your profile.
- Order history — items you order through the app, amounts paid, and points earned.
- Loyalty data — points balance, tier level, and visit streaks.
- Push notification token — used to send you order status updates. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings.
- Camera access — only when you choose to scan a QR code at your table or at an event. No images are stored.
- Photo library — only when you choose to save a quote card to your camera roll. We do not access existing photos.
We do not collect precise location, browsing history, financial card data, or any data not listed above.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your account and keep it secure.
- To process your orders and track your loyalty points.
- To send you push notifications about your order status (e.g., “your order is ready”).
- To personalise your in-app experience (greeting by name, displaying your tier).
- To improve the service based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Payment processors (Tap Payments / KNET) solely to process transactions. We do not store card numbers.
- Service providers who help us operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting, SMS delivery), bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Authorities if required by law.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Order history is kept for up to 5 years for accounting compliance. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 6).
6. Your Rights
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold on you.
- Correction — update your name or email from the Profile screen in the App at any time.
- Deletion — delete your account from Profile → Delete account in the App. This permanently removes your profile, points balance, and personal data. Order records may be retained in anonymised form for accounting purposes.
- Opt-out — disable push notifications from your device Settings (iOS or Android) at any time.

7. Security
Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on servers located in Germany (Hetzner) and the United States (Cloudflare). Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device (iOS Keychain or Android Keystore) and are never shared.
8. Children
The App is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the App or by email if provided. The effective date at the top indicates when the policy was last updated.
